Dry spell for a few days

By Jim Duncan, NBC12 Meteorologist

The weather pattern has taken a turn to the very dry side, stretching all the way westward to the Rockies. Our turn for more rain will come by later in the weekend, but until then, storm movement from the west will be s-l-o-w. A system will be developing over the Plains, but a lack of push in the upper-level winds will only allow for a sluggish increase of rain chances to spread east. By late Saturday through early Monday, depending on the storm’s track, we should see some nice spring rain.
