Winter storms keep brushing us

Another sizeable winter storm, and another “close-call” for wintry weather over the region.  As of this writing, it looks like Richmond and surrounding areas will see mainly rain from Tuesday’s approaching storm.  A mix at times with some sleet isn’t out of the question, but that’s about it.

Next week (12-16) may bring a couple of systems, but we’ll have to get really lucky for everything to align right for much more than a light taste of winter precip.  The signs for this are weak, so I really can’t say anything more than “maybe, but don’t count on it”.

The week after (19-23) looks like January-thaw territory potentially.  After that, could be back in the game.

Yeah it does seem that way. What started as possible snow next Wednesday has turned into 50 and rain.
