Weekend Cold Shot

Get ready for our first legitimate cold blast of the season, arriving this weekend.  And, just to make things more interesting, a coastal system well offshore could spin just enough moisture inland to give us some snow flurries.

I know a lot of you follow the computer guidance online, and probably see hints of more than flurries out of some of the models.  I don’t buy into it at this point, but will keep a keen eye on future runs to see how consistent the various projections are.

My substantial doubts arise because we will already have had one BIG storm (rain) moving up the Eastern Seaboard Wednesday and Thursday, and the atmosphere typically cannot regenerate a second system so quickly.

Early December can be a tricky time of year, so keep watching this blog for updates.

Soccer game Saturday morning Jim. I could use warmth and no more rain. Snow…hey, we’ve got soccer balls with colors other than white nowdays….

Holy smokes, folks (rhymes don’t it!) lets keep our panties on and realize THIS IS CENTRAL VA! We couldn’t get so lucky as to see a measurable snow now! Not that I wouldn’t love it! 😉

OMG! OMG! OMG! I’m going to Ukrops! This could be the big one! Must buy all the bread, milk and eggs available!

I don’t trust no fancy shmancy computers. Jim “Slammy” Duncan keeps it real.
