Clipper’s big effect

The clipper system that will brush north of the area tonight will be wimpy with respect to moisture, mostly light snow, with a dusting to up to an inch in spots.

 The bigger effect for most of us will be that it will herald the arrival of yet another arctic blast that will move in Friday through the weekend.  While this one won’t be any colder than the last, it will be more expansive across the Deep South, i.e. even southern Florida could be looking at freezing temps at night.

Next week brings a warm up, with more cold ir slated for the week of the 18th.
