Hope you don’t mind if I vent for a second… I’m tired of winter. There, I said it. I rarely grow weary of what is still my favorite season, but bring on spring. Last week’s snowstorm was great, almost the perfect storm (at least for those who didn’t lose their power for days on end). But it’s time to move on.
The bright side of our current weather pattern… the chilly, rainy days ahead will make us really appreciate spring when it finally does arrive.

How dare you Jim Duncan! As a professional meteorologist I expect a higher reverence for the forces of nature. Perhaps next season you won’t be so flippant about our beautiful earth.

Apple juice on sale 10 for $10 at Harris Teeter. What a deal!
As a fellow “lover of winter” I would also say I’m ready for spring with one caveat: no 80’s weather; just true spring days of temps in 60s and low 70s. Summer will come soon enough to central Virginia.
looks like not til wednesday now.
gone till monday 😦
where is the sun?
I would agree if Virginia had any kind of Spring. We seem to go from winter right into summer. Being one who hates the hot, sticky weather, I’ll enjoy the cold for as long as I can.
I agree, we had our good bit of snow, and after those couple of teaser days of 70’s (which all they really did was show me how much more yard work outside I have to do! lol), I am ready for spring and its warmer weather 🙂
I’m done with the winter!
If more winter is this cold rainy stuff – well I think I’ve had enough of that. The snow storm was really great though!
yeah lets all get ready for thunderstorm season. bring on the 70’s for more than 2 days in a row.
…the kids need to stay in school for a while. no more snow ‘daze’. the snow we received was more than fantastic. i’ll take another, but please let it be Dec. 24, 2009. spring is nice — the immune reaction to the pollen isn’t. virginia is for lovers!
I too agree, Winter is great just not when it’s in mid-March
I had gotten to feeling that way before the big snowstorm came and then I thoroughly enjoyed that VERY LATE taste of winter so much that I thought I wanted it again. But then I realized that the snow was probably a one time occurance and all we were going to get from here on out was up and down temps and a bunch of stupid rain and clouds. So yeah, I agree Jim, bring on spring. I’m sick of the constant changes and cloudy conditions. I want some 65-70 degree days and sunshine.
I’m with ya. I’m ready for spring too. I lost my power last week for 42 hrs. I also work outside about 3-4 hrs a day. I’m sick of wearing all these clothes.
